About the Workshop

Suminagashi (墨流し) – meaning 'floating ink' – is an ancient Japanese marbling technique that uses ink and water to create mesmerizing, meditative patterns on paper. This workshop introduces participants to the aesthetics and philosophy of this contemplative art form while guiding them through hands-on experimentation and creation.
